Irving Hellman, PhD is a Licensed Psychologist in private practice in Mid Town Sacramento since 1985. He is a graduate of Yale University, and the University of California, Davis, where he completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1984. He completed postdoctoral training at the UCD/Sacramento Medical Center in Child, Adult, and Geriatric Psychology.

Currently Dr. Hellman's practice focuses on the treatment and evaluation of older adults. As an ElderCare Adviser, he provides consultation and treatment to elder adults and their families with regard to a range of issues relevant to the challenges of aging. He also consults to eldercare facilities and public and private agencies serving elders. He conducts forensic evaluations regarding a variety of elder law issues including testamentary competence, guardianship, undue influence, and other areas related to the protection and well-being of the elderly.

As a geropsychologist, Dr Hellman works collaboratively with public and private agencies and health and legal professionals to assist with contultations and treatemt of elders and their caregivers and in triaining professionals serving elders.
